'Sky full of Stars'
'Sky full of Stars'
My artwork layers colour, texture, and line to create a sense of movement and depth—each piece shaped by memory and process. The fine lines that weave through my paintings are inspired by childhood moments spent sewing with my mother, where creativity and repetition became second nature.
In my early work, I stitched directly into the canvas, allowing the thread to become part of the story. Over time, those stitches evolved into drawn lines, carrying the same sense of rhythm—like the steady hum of a sewing machine or the familiar patterns we return to in life.
These lines aren’t just about my own memories—they invite the viewer to find something familiar, whether it’s the quiet repetition of a daily ritual, the comfort of something well-worn, or the way small details thread through our own stories. Each layer, mark, and shift in colour mirrors the way we piece together our experiences, shaping something unique yet deeply recognisable. This original painting is acrylic and collage on canvas.
