Lazy Days

My poor neglected blog! It has been ages I realise, but I have been loving the fact that I have had no deadlines to meet now that college is more or less over. Sitting down to write was giving me flashbacks of the last few weeks of mayhem and madness around here as I got things ready for my finals and my up and coming show. So, I've just been enjoying doing not much really. Reading, staring out the window, going for walks into town, meeting friends for coffee, going out for dinner and generally sleeping have all been high on my list over the last couple of weeks. It has been lovely not to feel I have to do anything in particular...no pressure...don't you just love those moments in life....lazy days! That saying I think I also relish the mayhem & madness, well just a little bit! The show is all set up the markings have been taking place last week and this week [there are a lot of students to get through] I really want to go in & have a look at my work to make sure it's still OK and not missing me too much, I'm kinda missing it. I'm feeling quite precious about it, probably because I have been working everyday on this for...well I don't really know...let's just say a long time. I want to go in and say hello & touch it just to make sure it doesn't think I've forgotten and deserted it. Does that sound odd?!? mmm probably...but I have put so much of myself into this that I can't help myself.
So here's a sneak preview....
Presence and Absence
For my final piece I did a series of paintings, pinhole pieces and miniature lockets. I will post more photos over the next week & of the private view. If you're gona be in town drop me a line & I'll give you details of the private view!
